The Better Days is a MWPP canon-centric RPG consisting of a small group of very talented writers and active players. We're looking for more of the same, whether seasoned or new to roleplaying, to help us bring this era of the Harry Potter World to life. The community is very organized and friendly, and the game itself is constantly flowing with character interaction and new plot twists, so you're guaranteed an interesting and fun experience whether in or out of character.
THE STORY SO FAR: The Millicent Bagnold has found her government under attack, both from the disbelieving public and the maniacal Lord Voldemort, who is establishing power, destabilizing the ministry and reeking havoc across Britain with the help of his Knights of Walpurgis. Bagnold is faltering under the scrutiny and Dumbledore has taken a step beyond her, organizing the driving force in the anti-Voldemort movement: The Order of the Phoenix.
In what started as a practical joke, the Marauders charmed perfectly normal journals to become interconnected by magic. When the initial surprise of one's private thoughts being read by everyone wore off, the journals became a commodity. Everyone was buying them, even Albus Dumbledore. The journals not only served a Hogwarts fad, but became a stable means of communication between Dumbledore and Millicent Bagnold, as well as the Order.
What no one but an inner circle of Hogwarts Junior Knights knows, however, is that Voldemort too has been given a journal. He's able to keep tabs on the students as well as his Junior Knights, and to infiltrate the student body for his own personal gain. The foundations of unity are crumbling from within the school, and it is impossible for anyone to grasp the magnitude the current war will reach.
Now, the last summer of freedom has passed for the Marauders, and their 7th year has started amidst ministry turmoil, mutiny, death, and uncertainty. The wizarding world is at war with what seems to be an invisible enemy and loyalties are faltering left and right. A tug of war between peace and power exists in the minds of many students, as well as adults. The real fight is just beginning.
